CSX S-Line Railway

As part of the City of Raleigh’s development of Union Station, a multimodal facility that includes commuter train and bus service, improvements further along the railway line were required to accommodate extra lines and switches needed to increase railroad capacity, efficiency, and safety.

Morrison Engineers installed a 400-ft–long permanent soldier pile shoring system adjacent to the existing railroad tracks and an operational parking lot. We are proud to have played a part in this historic project supporting the growth of Raleigh, North Carolina.
