Crabtree Creek West Greenway
This 1.8-mile concrete and asphalt multi-use path completes the final greenway connection to Umstead State Park as part of the Capital Area Greenway System through Morrisville, Cary, and Raleigh. The award-winning project included five prefabricated steel bridges, a 216-foot suspension bridge, an elevated boardwalk switchback, fencing, signage, retaining walls, and a trailhead parking lot. It begins at Ebenezer Church Road near Crabtree Creek and ends at the existing greenway terminus on Lindsay Drive.
Morrison Engineers provided the following services: Bridge Foundation – micropiles, rock anchors for Bridge S-4 (cable-suspended bridge); Boardwalk Foundation – micropiles for Boardwalk #3; Sheeting Design
